The external iliac artery is a major pelvic artery that continues as the femoral artery. It supplies the lower limb and gives off inferior epigastric and deep circumflex iliac branches.

The Abdominal Aorta leaves through the Aortic Hiatus of the Diaphragm (T12 Level). It is a major vessel and it is responsible for the blodd supply of all abdominal organs. View the embedded chart of the Abdominal Aorta's branches here.

The Liver has a dual blood supply. The Hepatic Artery is responsible for the delivery of oxygen-rich blood the Liver Parenchyma. The Hepatic Artery is responsible for around 25% of the blood flow through the Liver.

The Inferior Mesenteric Artery is a branch of the Abdominal Aorta, which supplies the Hindgut. It exits at the L3 level at runs slightly lateral to the Abdominal Aorta.

The Superior Mesenteric Artery is an Anterior Branch of the Abdominal Aorta. It supplies the Midgut and is a major artery that supplies the gastrointestinal tract from teh third portion of the duodenum to the proximal part of the transverse colon. The rotation of the midgut is around the axis of the Superior Mesenteric Artery.

The Celiac Trunk is responsible for the blood supply of the Stomach, Liver, Pancreas, Spleen and the 1st and 2nd parts of the Duodenum. It is a branch of the the Abdominal Aorta, and is at the T12 Vertebral level
